The Village Homes website was begun in October 2003 at the request of the Village Homes board. The goal was to two-fold:

• to create a resource for non-residents looking for information about Village Homes
• to create a residents' area with newsletters, directory, board contacts, etc.

The site was created as a volunteer project. Contributors have included:

• Christy DeWees (author of the Village Homes History section)
• Andy Hilliard (web design, graphics, and database programming)
• Sheila Kenward (photos and documents)
• Jack Kenward (newsletter design, editing, and maintenance)
• Jamie Knapp (conceptual design)

The site was created using Open Source web technologies where possible, including the PHP web scripting language and the mySQL database. Web design and graphics were done using Macromedia Dreamweaver and XaraX.
